Terms of Service

Welcome to AdabStars. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and AdabStars ("AdabStars," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the AdabStars application and website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who may use AdabStars

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian to create an account. You are responsible for the family members and children you add to your account and for their use of the Service. Children do not create their own accounts.

2. The Service

AdabStars helps families turn daily tasks, prayer, Qur'an, and good character into a rewarding routine, with tasks, points, streaks, and rewards that you control. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve the Service.

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to access another family's data; interfere with or disrupt the Service; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code; or upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes others' rights.

5. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the information and content you and your family add to AdabStars. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely as needed to operate the Service for your family. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Subscriptions and payments

AdabStars may offer free and paid plans. During any free or pilot period, the Service is provided at no charge. If you choose a paid subscription, you authorize us (through our payment processor, Stripe) to charge the applicable fees on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges, and fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law. We will give reasonable notice of any price changes.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Prayer times and other religious content are provided for convenience and may vary; please verify with a trusted local source where accuracy is important.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AdabStars will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm AdabStars or others. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will end.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
